Please note: this product is not suitable for vegetarians or vegans as it contains hydroxyapatite from NZ cattle.

Unlike other whitening products that can actually damage enamel, the primary intent behind OraWellness Shine is to remineralise teeth.
Once lost minerals are restored the secondary focus of Shine can be addressed; to gently encourage a brighter, whiter smile.
Shine's teeth whitening method is gentle compared to most whitening products that use bleaching agents, which can weaken teeth and cause a loss of minerals.
The use of white kaolin clay in Shine has been found to be the most effective ingredient for whitening and cleaning without damaging enamel.
Even staining on veneers or composite fillings on front teeth, which can be easily stained by food and drink, can be polished to a whiter shade with Shine.

Shine's unique product solution is a result of three remineralisation strategies.

  • It uses micro-crystalline hydroxyapatite (MCHA), which contains the same minerals as your teeth.
  • The MCHA is in a highly bio-available form with tiny particles that can be easily incorporated into the structure of your teeth.
  • Uses a special delivery method that targets the specific areas of your teeth that need support and by providing tiny particles of the exact mineral structure needed to rebuild and restore lost minerals, Shine can reverse tooth decay.

Clinical studies have shown the remarkable remineralization ability of MCHA, the key mineral used in Shine's proprietary formula of natural ingredients.
Researchers found that use of MCHA significantly enhances enamel microhardness, and can greatly increase remineralisation.
In fact, MCHA has been compared to fluoride toothpaste for its ability to inhibit cavity development, making it an effective alternative. Ultimately, Shine's unique formula helps restore strength and mineral density in areas of existing tooth decay, while protecting against future decay by preventing mineral loss from teeth.

The main ingredient that makes OraWellness Shine so effective and unique is microcrystalline hydroxyapatite, or MCHA for short.

“Microcrystalline” means that the particle size is really, really small, and that it’s in a crystal form.

Given that our teeth are living crystals, the crystalline form is perfect for our needs. The tiny size is necessary so the minerals can be used to rebuild tooth enamel.

The second half is “hydroxyapatite”. Unless you like to geek out on old dental journals, you might not know that this is the actual material our teeth are made of!

Non-GMO, birch-based Xylitol

Xylitol plays an important role in delivering the bioavailable minerals to the areas of decay. MCHA works well by itself, but xylitol amplifies the remineralizing benefit by helping to ensure that the MCHA is delivered where it’s needed most.

To maintain the highest quality product possible, Shine uses non-GMO xylitol sourced from birch trees and produced in North America.

Calcium Lactate

We complete the trifecta of remineralizing ingredients in OraWellness Shine with calcium lactate, which enhances the remineralization effects of xylitol.

These three ingredients work in synergy, resulting in a unique formula that facilitates remineralization like no other oral hygiene product.

  • For general remineralizing support, simply apply Shine to a moistened toothbrush and brush as normal.
  • To increase whitening benefit, focus on the front teeth when first starting to brush.
  • For extra remineralizing support, swish Shine around your mouth for several minutes after brushing.

Effective stain removal
16 June 2024  |

This is the first time I have used a powder toothpaste and, whilst I cannot yet comment on it re-mineralizing my teeth in such a short time, it is very effective in removing stains. I will continue to use it and buy a refill when I have used up the jar. Worth trying and I like the fact that it is a powder; it's easy to use.

Shine is an understatement!
05 December 2021  |

I have tried many tooth powders over the years and although I knew Shine was the best I had always avoided purchasing it as I could not justify the price. When I realised how big the container was and how amazing the product I couldn't believe it. My teeth have never felt cleaner and smoother, the taste is great and due to the size it is actually affordable and economical. Great quality product that delivers.
