The main ingredient that makes OraWellness Shine so effective and unique is microcrystalline hydroxyapatite, or MCHA for short.
“Microcrystalline” means that the particle size is really, really small, and that it’s in a crystal form.
Given that our teeth are living crystals, the crystalline form is perfect for our needs. The tiny size is necessary so the minerals can be used to rebuild tooth enamel.
The second half is “hydroxyapatite”. Unless you like to geek out on old dental journals, you might not know that this is the actual material our teeth are made of!
Non-GMO, birch-based Xylitol
Xylitol plays an important role in delivering the bioavailable minerals to the areas of decay. MCHA works well by itself, but xylitol amplifies the remineralizing benefit by helping to ensure that the MCHA is delivered where it’s needed most.

This is my second review of Shine Remineralising Tooth Powder; following my second purchase of 2 of the bulk bags. This has been great for both mine and my husband's teeth. He got very good reports from the holistic dentist on the condition of his gums, and I haven't been as I really don't feel the need to - my teeth seem to be improving more over time. We do other things to help our teeth as well (particularly dietary and clay for me), however I really do feel that this tooth powder has had a great effect, and will continue to use it. Ora Wellness are a company that do very thorough investigation and sourcing into the best ingredients to use; their website is full of very well researched information. I would only add that I tried swallowing the tooth powder (as all the ingredients should be good to consume and provide even more positive effect - particularly the hydroxyapatite), however I had a bad gut reaction probably due to the xylitol, so people sensitive like me shouldn't swallow it! Many thanks to Absolutely Pure for providing this in the UK.

Great product…natural remineralisation 💕
Finally purchased this tooth powder around a year or two after first investigating hydroxyapatite. Not cheap, so a real investment in the quality ingredients and all the research that went into OraWellness producing this. Briefly looked into sourcing my own comparable ingredients and making my own, but being short of time, and with my teeth crying out for these ingredients, I just went for the finished product. Also investigated purchasing directly from OraWellness in the US, however don't know that the cost would have been hugely different if customs charges were incurred. Have been using for a week or two, and my teeth are a little whiter than before. I put coconut oil on the brush before dipping in the powder (was using just coconut oil to clean my teeth for a couple of years prior), and the powder cleans well. The insides of my teeth could still do with a lot of work appearance wise, and I have yet to experience re-mineralisation and/or some healing of problematic teeth, however it's early days...
Since using this tooth powder my gums have been much happier (supermarket toothpaste caused irritation).
I have been using Shine for some years. I find it really cleans my teeth. I can tell as I use a disclosing tablet once or twice a week before brushing. I then make sure I remove all the red and Shine does this very well.
Very good product, works great
Very fine powder, easy to apply to a wettened brush. It feels very fine and soft in the mouth. Fresh mild taste and feel, very slight impression of the bicarb, all good health-promoting ingredients especially the hydroxyapetite for remineralisation. This was recommended by the dentist for remineralising teeth and of course it doesn't have the usual toxic ingredietns of other toothpastes such as flu0r1de, sls, etc. If the powder doesn't suit you and you prefer a toothpaste, then just mix a small pot or eggcup of it with sesame oil or coconut oil or some other oil that suits.
I have used this remineralising powder for quite a few years now and couldn't be without it. I feel confident in the ingredients used and the remineralising function . I have attended the dentist every 6 months all my life but over the pandemic I didn't go once and still haven't been. I like to think that my teeth feel healthy and strong still. I love the explanatory video and always apply by putting a spoonful of powder in the palm of my hand and apply my damp tooth brush over and over my teeth and gums. The refill packet is a bargain, having bought the glass jar full , I now just conveniently buy the refill. Thank you so much Absolutely Pure
I've been buying the Boka Ela Mint toothpaste for months from Absolutely Pure, but decided to try the Shine powder due to the Boka Ela being no longer available. I brushed my teeth at bedtime as did my wife. In the morning I woke with swelling around my eyes, as did my wife, and feeling like I had a hangover (I don't drink).
